| The CAMP our theme this year—Living Well With
the Word—allows us to increase awareness of personal
relationship with Christ, the universal nature of Christ’s
presence in the community, the importance and usefulness of
scripture in developing intimacy with Christ, and how our words
affect our relationships with each other. In picking this
theme, my thoughts went to the sense of loneliness I often hear
young people express in their daily lives. Even those who you
would believe to be the most popular often have a sense of
shallowness in their friendships. My prayer is that our youth
will come to know God’s presence, love, and influence in their
lives in new and intense ways that will help sustain them as
they cope with the difficulties and anxieties of life. |
